dash...
Quote:
It can be any of the joints. pre-73 models didn't have the cable links. There are two models, by two manufacturers. Sadly both have their problems. I replaced my system with a frankenstein hybrid of the two. But I had to take the whole dash out to get there. |

Depending on where the sound is coming from, you might be able to get around the dash. You can access the motor and part of the parallel drive link under the dash on the drivers side. Tight clearance though. To get at the passenger side wiper you have to remove the glove box. What year is your car? Is it an E? If so, I can scan a few pages out of my Volvo factory manual for you. PM me if interested.
Pulling the dash might make things a lot easier. Laying on your back on the front floor is quite uncomfortable. However, doing so is a bit of a job.
