Default BG Transmission Fluid

I was at the Volvo dealer in British Columbia (Canada) and they advised that they flush the Aisin 6 speed transmission on the xc90 V8 with BG universal synthetic transmission fluid. (BG is a company that sells various fluids and flush machines.) BG states on their website that it meets or exceeds JSW 3309 and the various Volvo part numbers for transmission fluid. It appears that many Volvo dealers use the BG synthetic transmission fluid in their various Aisin transmissions. Anyone know anything FACTUAL or SCIENTIFIC about BG universal synthetic transmission fluid. I contacted Volvo Canada, but they were unable to offer any information on the BG synthetic transmission fluid even though a number of their North American dealers appear to be using it. Other than the transmission failures on the T6 models, I have not read about failing transmissions on the XC90. I assume that if BG transmission fluid was causing problems, given that many Volvo dealers use it any transmission issues would be posted on some of the Volvo forums, but I am unable to locate postings to that effect.

Any factual or scientific information on the BG synthetic transmission fluid would be welcome.

Thanks.

I doubt BG is the caused of failure in T6. T6 problem is world over and I doubt everyone uses BG. Further, some failure is too early to think that the owner has clocked enough mileage to change the gearbox oil.

BG is a full synthetic so it's better than the semi synthetic ATF Volvo(used to?) use.

The Asin Warner is a 6 speed auto made in Japan and is as bullet proof as they come, unlike the GM box fitted to the early T6.

I've been using Amsoil full synthetic ATF for some years now. I don't think we get BG oils in the UK.
