Default Extra Genuine Volvo Subwoofer

Is it possible to add an extra genuine Volvo subwoofer to the drivers side of the boot so the car has 2 subs ?

You're lucky to have ONE!!!!!!!!
My old 53 SE model had the premium sound system with sub-woofer, but my 2010 Exec with Premium Sound doesn't.
Not my idea of an improvement.
Volvo really downgraded the sound system over the past 10 years.

I was wondering if it would be possible to replicate the wiring to the sub on the passenger side and wire in another in parrallel on the drivers side. I don't think the cars CAN system accesses the sub directly so I'm hoping it would be resonabley easy to do.

I guess if yours doesn't have one to begin with fitting one would be a lot more trouble.

I read somewhere that they deleted the sub to allow the fitting of 3rd row AC.

Not sure if thats 100% correct though!

So the AC unit is where the sub and amp used to be, is it electric and not run directly from the engine as before ?

Extra subwoofer ordered, should be here by the end of the week. Can someone supply me with a wiring diagram for the plug to the amp. I have a copy of VIDA but I'm unable to find what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Edit.

Forgot to mention, the cars CAN system does access the sub but I'm hoping to bypass that bit ...

Page 107 on This Diagram should offer an idea, the 04 diagram is messed up but the 03 and 05 diagrams both look the same for the sub so I would assume 04 will also match - Mike
