Default Heater Erratic

Evening All

Heater on my 05 plate is some what erratic. When either of the temperature controls are on the maximum settings the temperature is constantly going hot and cold, move it down two clicks and its OK. This is in auto and manual modes. Any ideas ??

I went through a lot of diagnostics on my heating problem . In my case there was aboit 10% heat no matter what setting it was set at.
Out of curiosity have you changed your battery lately? This can cause your symptoms.
After reading numerous articles on forums etc your story sounds familiar and think your 1st step should be recalibrating the heating system using VIDA , this is what is recommended if you have changed the battery or had a flat battery. While it’s connected also check the controls on the heating control panel work using live data. Then it might be a thermostat issue but I have no technical experience. The Volvo Indi changed mine as that was their 1st call since they said that can cause a lot of problems. In the end it turned out to my be heater matrix was gone, but that won’t be your issue.
Definitely get it linked up to VIDA 1st.
