Default Brake Servo replacement

Hi All,

Have 2006 XC90 and Brake Servo seems completely gone. In Garage they offered me new Servo for 425£ + VAT. Taking into account labour work it can cost up to 1k!

Found new Servo on eBay for just 200£ but have some doubts... Does anybody know if there is a difference in Servo type between left and right hand cars?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bremskraf...-T-0:rk:9:pf:0

Thanks in advance!

Stick your VIN into the Skandix website for the correct part number then compare

Coming from V70 land.... there’s a difference between servos from STC and DSTC cars (don’t know if this is relevant to the 90?) and engine needs to be dropped a couple of inch to change the servo in a rhd 70 - can you get away without in the bigger 90?

Yes, I did it. But still, when I select Brake booster for my VIN, even on SKANDIX it says

"Driver position: for left-hand drive vehicles"

I don't know the difference between the RHD LHD or with car models.

But these all go bad so buying used is gambling.

Rather buy the seal and install, see this video and look in the video description for the seal part https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKcDOLIYR3A (there are 2 more videos on my channel)

I sent email to Skandix sales and they replied that search result on their side is not 100% correct. Well it came that for my VIN there is a Servo for 200£ which should fit but with small comment it is for LHD. In email they told me that there is a definitely difference between LHD and RHD. RHD came as 491 EUR + Tax (it was not on their web site). Part number is 1068820 and I tried to google if anybody else is selling it. Seems not. It is probably a time to let my car go....

I would check that the vacuum hose plugs into the same place....
