Default Info center displaying "'---" or "0"

Hi everybody.

I honestly hope that Im not making existing thread but I honestly searched a lot for same issue.

I have this car (Volvo S40 2000) for little bit more then month... First two weeks everage and current fuel consumption were displayed correctly... All of a sudden, its "---" or "0". They got some values from time to time but that doesn't last more than 10 second...

Can you tell me what to search for.

My guess is dry soldering on the selection knob and therefore poor contact on the circuit.
