Rear brakes

Afternoon!

I Recently picked up a 2010 XC70 D5 205, and thought I would change the rear discs. It's a simple job huh.

The reason for the change was the big lip on the worn out discs. However I could see the pads were like new. But why new pads on old discs?

The carrier bolts were incredibly tight, and the pins were jammed in place. 2 hours later and a lot of swearing managed to get them apart and fit the new discs. As I said I compared the pads and they weren't very old at all, and genuine Volvo so I left them on.

Thanks to this forum I used a 9v battery for the electric handbrake, which was a life saver as one bolt had been replaced already the other was severely corroded.

Thats it for tonight, figures crossed for the passenger side in the morning!
