Blitzsafe audio adapters
I've decided that what I need is a VOL/AUX DMX V.1 adapter from Blitzsafe (www.blitzsafe.com). Trouble is, I can't find anyone who wants to sell me one (apart from Blitzsafe themselves, who want a ridiculous amount of money compared to what their USA dealers are selling them for - and that's before we even start thinking about shipping costs).
So my question is - does anyone know of a source of these pieces of kit, ideally UK-based or, failing that, somewhere in Europe? None of the American Blitzsafe dealers will ship outside the US, and the distributor that they have listed in Ireland doesn't even do me the courtesy of returning my e-mails. Cheers. Gareth. |

RE: Blitzsafe audio adapters
It was www.edworthys.co.uk but looking now they only sell the lead with the changer. I guess an ICE would be able to source one..I think they are generically called VOL/ALP rather than the specific blitzsafe version.
AFAIK there are two versions..a cheap £20 one that doesn't work for later Volvos, and a more expensive approx £80 one for Volvo head units like the SC700 |

RE: Blitzsafe audio adapters
Thanks for that info.
As it goes, despite all of Blitzsafe's listed on-line retailers stating that they don't ship outside the continental USA, e-mailing them to ask reveals that most of them will in fact ship to the UK. Cheapest so far is www.enfig.com who will sell me the adapter I need (VOL/AUX DMX V.1) for $89 including shipping (works out at about £50). |

Let's hope customs don't xray it, see a box with wires sticking out, and blow it up!
