S40 T4's...Should I?
Right, not sure if this is the right place to post but will try it anyway.
I'm looking to buy a new car basically, I've been looking at a S40 T4 on a 2000 post-facelift plate. The car strikes me as a nice mix of power, comfort and practicality. I've been reading loads of reviews on them, but just wondered what the opinions of the owners club was?, is this a good car? My main requirements are that its swift (good to over-take in, but not bothered about off the lights stuff!), responsive but still able to eat miles in comfort. Cheers, appreciate any help you can give me, David. |

RE: S40 T4's...Should I?
Hi.
Having had a PI T4 all I can say is that it does all of the above with aplomb. The PII cars have a slightly larger engine and a twin scroll turbo and are usually nearer 210-220 BHP out of the box. Overtaking ability? Excellent! With 300Nm on tap in a 1250KG car.... well think about it. :-) I say go for it, I loved mine and wish I still had it as it was such a hoot to drive. Dan. |

OK, cheers for your help. You've confirmed everything I was unsure about. I think it looks like a great car, and as you say the power is there. Think its time to wave goodbye to vauxhall and take up volvo ownership!

Cool! You will never want to go back to Vauxhall after this... ;-)
