Urrmm!..................can't find it on Ebay or anywhere else, this was the 131 coupe that came from S Africa and was rust free, dark green with 17" wheels and claimed to be the best you will ever see...................or words to that effect.
S'pose it should be in a new thread really as it's nothing to do with the Amo' Estate. |

I'd guess that the £5200 ad has been removed by ebay.
You see it quite often: a nice looking car sells for a good price. It then appears in another ad with 1 or 2 photos snipped from the original sale, scant information and a seller with little or no feedback. Detective mode: you can always tell dodgy ads from the image metadata codes (save the image, right click, select properties then look at time/date/GPS info - if you post the GPS co-ordinates into a search engine, you can even tell where the photo was taken). You can also right click on an image, select 'search Google for images' and the results will show you everywhere that particular images has been posted. Most scammers are too stupid to 'clean' images (i.e. remove the data described above) before they use them... I suppose that will change in time. These 'ads' are a known scam designed to separate buyers from cash. "I'll need payment upfront and I'll get the car shipped to you…" that sort of thing. I reported the ad as being suspect myself, so it's good to see that ebay are (sometimes) on the ball. |
