Did you actually look at what the 9 were?

5 3 litre T6's (I was looking for 2 litre T5's) and 4 "order a new T5" adverts from a local dealer. "Choose your options and get a personalised quote"

I had not looked at the detail. Makes the T5 rarer than most Ferraris :-)

Would be sceptical about the claims of 40 plus mpg. I'm not saying it's impossible but I certainly didn't buy an XC60 T5 for the fuel economy or to drive in a relaxed fashion. However saying this, I did achieve 32 mpg on a 30 mile commute to work but I had it in eco mode all the way.

Its certainly possible when cruising at say 75 to get 40+. The avg will be around 32-35 depending on who you ask. Wife's avg since new is 30 on all mileage but that does include lots of the heavy traffic around Cologne.

Tbh the T5 can be very relaxing to drive as its a very quiet motor. At idle and lowers speeds you hear nothing (we have the insulated glass).
