I was able to try and pump both in and out.

From the tank I was able to get a bit more fuel out using the electric pump and also key on and off. Over 40ltrs easy now.

The flow has stopped from the tank. I'm gonna put 20 lts of diesel in there and try and get some to come out. I will cycle it for a while to guarantee I get diesel full into the line upto where I tapped in.

I've taken off the injector lines and have been cranking motor. Nothing coming out of those but I still have the hose tapped into the return to tank line from the common rail and I did get a little to flow out.

Do you think I should remove the rail plug at the end or is it a hard job.

No.
Just do what I suggested in my last comment and that should be enough.

Nice that people can give helping hands across the water, and in doing so, achieve much more than the diplomats do with all there waffle and hot air.

Now, if I can get this boomerang running smoothly, perhaps it's the didgeridoo?

Regards,Keith.

Hi, so I have another question. Wife wants my small firm to buy the volvo off us(family car). A few reasons. Workers and myself have used it during work times and got paint and smoke burns on the seats.

It's 530000 km, the front glass is cracked and now this latest problem.

So the firm is OK to buy and run it around but now I'm thinking of something interesting.

I plan to do up an old 4x4, not sure what but something.
I noticed the volvo is such an awesome vehicle with all the modcons a car could want.

It's a complete working car still.
Basically I have this thought to cut and gut all the best tech from the volvo to an old 70's 4x4 or something. Any thoughts?
