Advice please, ETM issue ?

Hi guys,

My 2001 C70 Con T5 had starting difficulties Yesterday and took about 10 mins to start, it turned over caught then after a few seconds the revs died. The smell of petrol was high outside of the car. Once I got the car going under hard acceleration the revs were cutting at about 5k, about 2 miles up the road the revs died whilst at lights.
I managed to get the car home and kept trying to start it during the day but the revs kept dying. Today the car is starting and holding the revs but once the accelerator pedal is pressed the revs dip. The ETM light has come on today. I have taken it to a garage tonight to get looked at tomorrow , unfortunately not a volvo indie.

Having read the previous threads I am assuming that I should go down the following route, get the codes read, get the Etm module cleaned, if that fails get it replaced. Looking at previous bills the last owner had it cleaned 3 years ago.
Am I correct in thinking that Volvo has also reduced the cost of the Etm module?
Advice please.

if it is your etm which im sure it is

1st you need to remove etm and clean 100% then after refitting then you should get the etm upgraded with latest software ..

Got my C70 back from the garage today after they replaced the maf sensor. It appears to be running ok but only had a short journey home. Fingers crossed this has cured it .

Can the Morelli units be replaced with the Bosch ones?
