Hey,mate.

Hope that's not because I was trying to be funny. Didn't mean to upset and you did say it wasn't your car.

It's just a struggle selling a classic at the best os times.By your own admission, this has been messed with a lot but is still a solid shell for someone.

I think it's just the fact the running gear, interior and body has been mucked with so much it kinda makes folks smile seing it as a serious project. Rat-rod owners would propably go for it as a custom-classic and maybe that's where the market should be.

Didn't mean to offend you and please accept my apologies if I did.

if thats the way you feel then take it easy and you may find it more at home over at the hot rods forum as its geared for that taste sorry you feel you dont belong here but everyone is entitled to there view as it is a forum and goes with the ethos of a forum in general .

i did say im glad you put the OEM dash back in the car looks more at home than a jag dash they never look good chopped in , colour is nice aswell so there is light at the end of the tunnel just some of us know !! how good a b18 or a b20 engine is so would be more trouble than its worth going down the v8 path

kind regards and i hope you find peace

Looks to me like a classic has been saved and will live on better than original, probably would be appreciated a lot more on retrorides.org

And there is the danger of reading half a thread, if you had read the whole thread you would see that the car has a new owner and imo is doing a great job of bringing it back to life.

Don't think everyone thinks that way, Cudaboy...quite a lot of us appreciate a modified classic. It was a bit of a mess in the original pics, but it is looking better from the update pics you've posted, and I'm sure you have more to do. I'm willing to bet it will go well with the blown SBC! Were you not tempted to go for something a little lighter (I'm thinking Audi, BMW, Lexus quad cam alloy V8s), given that it's a fairly light shell?

cheers

James

Quite like that... Got any more pics?

You car might not be everyone's taste, but it would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.

well done, if you like it then all is good, i think that any old car that is saved is good, if everyone thought the same then there would only be one type of car on the road, your never going to please everyone,so just be happy with what you,ve done, not all opinions are positive but that dont matter, the thing that matters is you like it, good on you m8
