Default V70 2002 2.4 diesel turbo

Hi, somehow the car was filled with 95 petrol. It started running bad and stalled on the road. I've got the car back at my storage, what's the best way to drain the fuel. Its a wagon.

Remove the fuel filter, place a large bowl underneath and turn on the ignition.
The in tank pump will pump out the fuel in the tank.

Alternatively, leave the fuel filter in place and instead, remove the rubber hose from the metal fuel feed pipe under the bonnet, attach a length of 8mm internal diameter hose to the metal feed pipe and turn on the ignition.

I've seen it work for longer than a few seconds but I don't know if it will run indefinitely.
OP can cycle it on and off though to see.

Yet another alternative is hooking up a 12v fuel pump like one of these to the metal feed line in the engine bay.

Still dead in all circumstances and I haven't looked any further into it.

that could take several hours if the tank is well filled ..

True, hence the alternative suggestion to hook up an electric pump to the feed line in the engine bay.
If they have the right tools they could run the electric pump hose into the tank access hatch under the seat too so they have affordable options.

I'm right swelled up with all the replies you guys have sent.

First stage of using the electric pump to scavenge the tank completed.
The tank was showing empty and 35 ltr of 95e10 was added. I think I've got about 25-30 ltrs out of the tank.
I need to see all the replies. Attaching to the inlet pipe before the motor sounds good. I thi k I found them, 2 fuel lines running under motor then are those fuel filters {not sure}, but both lines go across the motor, both go into, is it a pump{not sure}. Which line is return, top or bottom.

Return from the engine is top, feed to the engine is bottom so you either pump from the rubber return or the metal feed.
Given the access, and it will empty the engine of bad fuel too, I would use the rubber return.
