Mine wobbles, more so at idle but also while driving, my idle isn't steady, as my pcv needs sorting I guess that isn't helping either. I definitely notice when it revs a little at idle it makes it shake more but it never worried me. I had a 1.9 non turbo diesel clio, the engine was too big for the car and gear stick vibrated and wobbled like a bobble head all the time, even when you were gripping it.

Thanks all.

Sounds like this is pretty common redblock behavior. TBF it's not as though the stick vibrates badly or anything, just a slight 5-10mm nudge/wobble every few seconds, probably in time with the engine producing the odd movement/slight shudder. when revs are above idle and driving it doesn't really move and the car runs well with no issues.

Sounds like it's a case of TADTS (They all do that Sir), I'll stop focussing on it and find something else to worry about

Both my previous 940 and current 960 with M90s wobble. 960 more, but it has 50k more miles on it.

Being a 3 axle box they're prone to a small wobble due to natural resonance?

Cheers

Yup, if I was being pedantic I'd say it's more of an occasional forwards/backwards 'twitch' of the stick every couple of seconds and seems to be in time with the odd minor movement of the engine itself.

Either way it sounds as though it's business as usual, I'm at ease with it and it sounds like it a fairly common thing.

Mine moves about 1-2mm rhythmically.

Let me know if you want a video of my knob moving.
