Gauging interest - breaking V reg V40 1.8i (vvt)
Paint code 339-22 (Red Pearl metallic)
Full black leather interior in good condition (no cracks or worn areas), been kept well fed. Some scratches on the drivers seat as you'd expect. BBS Crater alloys with matched set of tyres (2 tyres with good tread, 2 tyres low but fully legal), all in pretty good condition, 2 of the centre caps are missing the volvo logo's (stickers fallen off). Locking wheel nuts Electric front windows Electric mirrors A/C (fully working) CD head unit (no autochanger) Original sub in the boot (don't know if that's standard or was an option?) All panels in good condition, except for the bonnet (dent in the front next to the grille) Both front fog lights work, but the lenses are cracked, as you'd expect. New front ARB drop links (both within last year New front ARB bushes (last year) New front discs and pads (genuine Mintex) circa 10k miles ago New Exide battery (less than a year) Towbar. Was in fully running condition until head gasket started to go (very early stages - no smoking, no overheating, no emulsified oil inside the filler cap, just showing on the dipstick). I started this job, but to be honest, I've reached the point where I'm seriously weighing up whether it's worth completing (I have 8 other cars, incl 6 projects, just about to start new job, girlfriend just moved in and house needs work etc etc) so this is something I could be better off just dropping. Shame, because it's a very nice car but I'm thinking it could be best to cut losses and move on. Had just passed full MOT before head went (MOT'd till end Feb 2013). Engine is partially stripped Located in Chelmsford, Essex. I'm looking to make a decision on this quickly - if it generates enough interest (sums add up to enough) I'll break it. If not, I'll have to find the time to plod on and finish the head gasket and get it back together I guess. Parts would need to be collected or confirmed as wanted quickly so I can take them off in time - if I do break this, I can't have it hanging around long because it's half off the end of my drive into the permit parking street! I can't reply to pm's yet (not enough posts) so any replies will be on here. Pics to follow shortly. Last edited by wurlycorner; Mar 16th, 2012 at 16:04. |

Pics:
The large black marks towards the top of the wheel above are dirt, not scrapes (just rub off). The only scrapes are the small marks on the very outside edge of the rim to the left (these would polish ok). Last edited by wurlycorner; Mar 16th, 2012 at 16:04. |

The Sales thread is only for the special ones......
I couldn't agree with you anymore. People post here because they think that their thread will attract more attention, but they will find out that their thread will dissapear in the 2nd or 3rd page in the next couples of days....
