I used to drive from Glasgow to Bruntingthorpe for exhibitions and always did M6 all the way and then A426 Rugby road into Lutterworth. I used to stay in Gilmorton.
There are a couple of nice Pubs/Restaurants in Gilmorton as well. The Grey Goose and the Red Lion if I remember rightly Enjoy the trip

Ah, there a few that are arranging to meet at various places on the way to Strathclyde Park, ie from the east and north. It would make sense if the east lot met at Cumbernauld at 10am then headed to Strath for 10.30

Some info for those travelling from North Scotland on the 30th
Volvo600 Inverness to Glasgow. 30.3.19 Hi everyone. With our big trip south approaching, I thought it would be good to put up a post to discuss our first part of the journey between Inveness and Glasgow. Below I have noted an outline plan with times and proposed meeting places along our route between Inveness and Strathclyde Country Park. Inverness Tesco Extra Business And Retail Park, 1a Eastfield Way, Inverness IV2 7GD Depart 6:00am 45 min Arrive 6:45am Avimore Tesco Grampian Rd, Aviemore PH22 1RH Depart 7:00am 1hr 45 min (including 15 mins extra driving time because A9) Arrive 8:45am Perth (Broxden) 2 Broxden Ave, Perth PH2 0PX Depart 9:00am 45 min Arrive 9:45am Cumbernauld (Old Inns) A80 Wardpark Pl, Glasgow G68 0JB Depart 10:00am 15 mins Arrive 10:15am Strathclyde Country Park 366 Hamilton Rd, Motherwell ML1 3RT Depart 10:30-11:00am I've left 15 minutes at each stop in case of any hold ups on the road. After Broxden we should be good, but I'm sure regular users of the A9 north of Perth will know the score.

Hi all, Here is the final Itinerary for the run down south on the 30th March. Times are just a guide and obviously you're free to make your own arrangements. Would be good if we could all have a wee get together in the evening though. This will be at the Shires Inn LE17 5PU at 7pm. It's halfway between Lutterworth and Leicester so should suit everyone.

Do any of you know a Scot who brought a green 240GLT to Bruntingthorpe?
Might also own a 262 Bertone? Called Dave? Might own a lot of other Volvos? I loved the 240 he brought and would like to make hime an offer...! Cheers |

Was he in the Heritage group, 240GLT, not quite gunmetal blue? If David McKenzie he has about 12 Volvos.
