As you still need to have the counter reset for the eolys tank to work, I would advice you to locate a garage that can do this for you. They should also be able to read what those two codes mean/why the warning light is lit.

If it turns out the first garage is at fault, that they've ruined something while poking around with things they shouldn't have, then you ought to go back and demand they fix it. Although, if they've ruined something like this, chances are they won't be fit to make it right.

I agree.

You could also put a request on all the other groups on this forum for someone near to you who has a Vida/Dice that would be prepared to plug it into your car to see exactly what's wrong and hopefully reset it in exchange for a bottle of something!

Also are you in the AA/RAC? Might they or another garage you can trust be able to determine whether you have a case for recovering the cost of repair from the garage that messed it up? If the tank has been removed chances are the flanges on the tank will be deformed/ damaged as the original screws can be difficult to remove if rusted, so it would be pretty obvious.

See my write up of my experiences https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=323304

Thumbs up Volvo additive sensor/terminal

I took the car to a specialist in Scunthorpe called Auto Precision who did a diagnostic test on the car and found that the dosing tank itself was not functioning or responding.
It could be due probably to the float coming detached and the ECU being unable to read and rectify the fault, ( that's my opinion) however, the guy was absolutely brilliant and never charged me for the test, which took around 30-40 minutes, now that's what you call a true gentleman.

I have been told by the garage that they never removed the tank and on reflection, they have done these type of jobs for years, so I would ask myself why would they bother to and therefore, I honestly do not think they removed the tank.
The car itself is 14 years old so I suppose with time and age it could have simply dropped off inside the tank, also since I bought it I've done a few repairs myself.
Kind Regards to everyone that replied.
