Default D5244T injector leak

I have a 2010 XC90 D5 that had a leak from the top end around the swirl flap arm and at the back near the engine mount.

In order to get the injectors out I ended up having to unscrew the top of the injectors so I could use an injector remover. I was careful not to lose any parts and I immediately reassembled them one each one was removed.

Fast forward to putting everything back together and I know have the issue of the engine not starting and lots of diesel pooling in the top of the engine.

I made sure to remove the old washers from the block, and installed new washers for the injectors. I did reuse the clamps and the bolts, (I have the later style clamps that are bolts and not the hex screws).

I am thinking the issue might be that the o-rings inside the injectors might be the issue.

I am currently waiting on a call back from a local diesel specialist to see if i can get them to service the injectors, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what i might have missed?

Thanks

once you open an injector that's it basically scrap. it will disturb the calibration too. the clamps bend when you fit them and using them twice results in loose injectors which eventually carbon up and seize in the head.
