No full beam, fog lights, petrol flap
Hi, I've never posted before, so here goes.
I have a few problems with my 2014 V60, they all seem to hzve happened at the same time (I think), 1 no full beams (not even the blue light is illuminating), no rear fog lights (again the warning light on the switch isn't illuminated), thirdly the fuel flap stopped opening using the push button. There's an additional fault (which I don't think is related), the engine management light is on, with the fault code P1407. I've checked as many fuses as I could find, all are OK. I reset the EML, only for it to reappear shortly afterwards. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated John |

The P1407 is an EGR fault. May just be a loose hose
Here's a generic guide - https://www.engine-codes.com/p1407.html The other issue do sound like they're related. Have you tested the fuses or just looked if they appear OK? I'd be inclined to change the fuses anyway. Also worth checking that you don't have any leaks causing electrical issues with the unit under the driver seat

No full beam, rear fog lights, fuel flap not opening
Hi all, the cause of the above faults, turned out to be the headlight control switch, I removed and dismantled the original switch, I could see an area of concern on the internal pcb assy, and decided to order a replacement, thankfully this cured all the above faults.
As regards to the p1407 fault code, I had the EGR valve removed and cleaned, but unfortunately the engine management light returned after less than 5 minuites. |

Thanks for letting us know the outcome on the electrical issues - very useful information.
Hope you get your EGR problem sorted out. |
