Default Shaking wing mirror glass

Hi

Both my mirrors glass shakes above 60mph. I've tried holding the mirror casing at speed but it seems the glass is the part that's shaking rather than the whole unit.
Does anyone else have this issue and is there a solution ?
Its on a 2007 facelift. Thanks

Have you had them off at any time .... indicator bulb replacement? ... if so they are maybe not fully engaged in the motor carrier, hence the shaking ... try pushing them back til you hear a click, or remove the mirror(s) glass and check the condition of the motor mounting.

Hope it helps

There are two white plastic wings which have to be guided into slots when you re fit the glass , i bet these are missing or not in their slots , Their purpose is to prevent this vibration of the glass .

Thanks for the replies.
I remember reading a guide here on removing the glass on a the facelift but can't find it now.

If I remember correctly I need to put a screwdriver into a slot behind the bottom of the mirror and the housing with the glass tilting up ?

I've pulled the mirror off and discovered the mirror was coming away from the backing !! Now glued on and see if there's a improvement on the shaking.

This was on both mirrors !!

Clan, when putting the glass back , how do I make sure the white wings are in the correct place as they don't seem to move ?

Thanks
Rob
