Save this 264?
http://www.copart.co.uk/c2/home.html
Have a search on there either under classic cars or search for Volvo between 1981 and 1983... a 264 GLE in a brilliant period gold colour, worth a look! |

DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!
I love 264's (can't you tell?) All the best bits of a 240, with THAT growl, and that push in the back when they kick down! Not sure, but I thought with the (only slightly I know!) lighter engine the handling seemed better balanced than a regular 240. Ok I know the engine is a pain in the rear, and the redblock is better in so many ways, and I probably wouldn't trust one as an everyday car, but you'll never park next to another one! A bit like a swedish alfa romeo; sounds awesome, go's like stink, a bit special but slightly flawed and fiddly! Makes me want to get the 262 finished so I can scrape the chicken sh*t off mine and get it fixed up. Same colour but big bumper (& a knackered engine). |

What a good looking car, would be worthwhile just as an investment maybe? They are becoming rarer with the correct engine.
I just wish I could see more as when I looked for it I spent ages looking and couldn't find it!Any more precise info on were to look ie page number would be very much appreciated. Regards Brian. |
