Personally I would say on.
Don't get people who de badge their cars, makes me think they have something to hide and looks like there is something missing without model designation badge at the very least
but each to their own

Worst case I ever saw was a mk 3 rangerover
it was black with non std tinted rear lights, tinted rear windows and completely
de badged. I nearly crashed my car into a row of parked cars I was laughing so hard. It just looked so stupid. On to of everything the tint on the windows was starting to peel

Off I like removing them as it makes it easier to polish plus it just looks better in my opinion.

my thoughts....leave the 'V O L V O' on the boot lid
i do like clean look. I know what the car is and items such as the big brakes give a hint to the designation
without shouting about it.

I'm having the same debate with the Mrs. She's not the one who washes and waxes it !

Well I did a quick change to it with the Volvo off as well (on my C30 when I had it I removed all of them). I liked that even more in honesty, although it definitely won't suit everyone (so going half way is nicer).

Definitely get rid viewing those pictures!

It's entirely down to your own opinion.

Anyone who doesn't know about cars isn't going to notice nor care that you have no badges on the back.

Anyone who does is going to assume you have a D2 and don't want to admit it (as most debadged cars in the UK are bottom end models. In germany mostly it's top end models that are debadged).

Ultimately, the vast majority of people won't notice and those that do will never say anything to you about it - so do what looks best to you, it's your car.

Whatever you do, sites like castrol oils or such mean all I have to do is enter your reg on there and it will tell me exactly what car you have.
