Fixed the pipe last night. Pipe had popped off the turbo and the bracket had broken. It’s quite a tight space so in the end I removed the pipe at the elbow put the red rubber insert onto the pipe and pushed it back on. Then re- attached the pipe together and put a couple of cable ties round the cracked bracket to stop It happening again. I could not get my hand in to tighten the jubilee clip. Do u think it will be ok? Or is there a special way of doing it?

My bracket was the same, but when I was underneath the car there was plenty of room to get the clip nice and tight, I put a new one on, if it was me I would want It tight as I wouldn't want it popping off in the middle of nowhere at night 😶

No, I doubt very much if it will be okay.

The clamp needs to be nice and tight and it may well have been a good idea to renew the orange insert at each end of that resonator box particularly with the mileage that's on your car. If it's not on properly and then done up tight it will pop off again for certain.

I did away with the whole resonator and orange inserts, replacing it with a one piece silicone hose purpose made for the job.

The orange inserts are the weak link.
