Volvo 745 G-registered 1989 pre-facelift in white (with a few rust patches....). Unlikely I'll be able to make the BKV.

Basically Newark is up the A1, north of Grantham.

I was thinking of taking it 'out of retirement' and make an effort to bring it along, but I don't know when or where this BKV is, and as I'm not a member and reading Brian's comment I don't think I will bother.

Hi Baggy,

be great if you could"make the effort", BKV is near Newark(Notts), on the A1...I am hoping there will be some incentives for 700 owners to turn up in their cars for the 30th Anniversary event.

Wow just found out that my car is actually Blue Green Metallic! although i can not see any green in it anymore o,O
I guess the years havnt been kind to my poor 740's paint being that 50% of the car doesnt have lacquer and now i find that the green part of the "blue green metallic" is missing too! =(
The re-spray in the summer is going to make a drastic change i see =) Bringing back the blue green metallic!!

At last another blue/green metallic like mine.I also have a laquer problem,My nearside rear door mainly as it looks like a replacement and cheap respray.The rest of the car will eventually follow suit as when I first got it the finish was like sandpaper?Lots of polishing have flatted it but you just know it's only a matter of time before it starts to lift.But even if I say so myself it scrubs up quite nice even with lots of chips that were touched up with a small brush.
