S80 steering wheel buttons . Dim Speedo.. wipers single spee
Hi all.... Seems I have a common problem... Is it the cem module... Or the Speedo assembly?

AFAIK it's likely to be the DIM (Driver Information Module or instrument cluster) but could equally be the CEM.
Not sure if the S80 was affected by the water in the CEM issue I've read about, but if so maybe worth checking first if the car is in the affected age range. Or it could just be that the wiper switch is duff, the lighting rheostat dead and the head unit not working correctly. Of these three, the wiper switch is the only one I have not read about being a known issue on these cars. On balance, and lacking any further info about when this happened/if it all went at the same time/age and spec of car etc I'd suggest the DIM but worth waiting for further advice before condemning it. There's a fella on here who repairs lots of electronic modules for Volvos, can't recall the name now, Lukasz or similar I think, but someone will know & he's well regarded.
