I wasn't aware there was such a wide choice.
I am now wondering what other size of tyre could be fitted to the R20's ,that would improve choice, without for instance sending speedo readings crazy.

I replaced the factory Conti’s on my v60 with CrossClimates last week and to be honest I was nervous as have always had dedicated winter and summer tyres. The CC’s are amazing. Now I know it’s summer so only half tested but they are more comfortable, appear to be grippier and are definitely quieter than the conti’s. Roll on winter so I can see what they they are like in the colder weather.

I've had a Volvo since 2006 so a relative new comer. A 2005 S60 D5 and 2011 S60 D3. I've had Pirelli, Continental, Hankook, Nokian and Goodyear tyres on them.

I'd go for Goodyear all day long. Eagle summer tyres and Ultra Grip winters.

My D3 is still sitting on the winter tyres, I never got around to swapping them this year, it seems a bit pointless now we're in August. I'd have to change them back in October.

For a performance tyre I'd go Michelin, got them on my bike and Focus. Super-sticky but not what is wanted in this case.

I don't work for a tyre manufacturer.

They're decent in winter, they'll keep you mobile as long as there's ground clearance. Need a little more nursing than a pure winter, but otherwise all good. If you drive sportily they can wear quicker than the other michelins but compared to some other summer tyres they are fine. You'll notice a hum under hard braking, and as they get older certain sufaces can induce a mild hum from the tread. All in all they are very good and behave very much like both summer and winter tyres in those conditions. Gamechangers.

I'd never considered Wranglers for my S60. Always seen them on Jeeps and other rufty tufty things.
Eagle or Ultra Grip is all I have experience of from Goodyear and they work very well in my experience.
