2013 V70 D3 high miles opinions

I always say "don't panic buy". I needed to replace my Toyota Avensis as I bought a caravan and although it as a 2 ltr and would tow it, it was a manual and I prefer towing with an auto. The Toyota autos are Powershift types and usually fail when used for towing so I looked at Volvo. They also do a Powershift gearbox but also a Geartronic box as well. I waited about a month before the right car came up for sale which is the V70 D3 auto estate, full service history and on checking the MoT history, all recommendations had been completed. I am delighted and it tows beautifully. Don't panic, if a car is about 8 years old and needs attention, leave it, it's been in the wrong hands, i.e. someone who could not afford to run it and thus other things are probably lurking in the background.
