TROUBLE!!!!! That's if they don't know what they're doing with older Volvos which most garages don't these days.

Your idea of going to see Dai is probably the best option, failing that look after it and you probably won't have any problems, if you do then you know where to find Dai.

Slightly damp under passenger side front and rear. Hasn't been like this for past few weeks and weather has been quite wet, only recent. Potential causes of this?

Front passenger footwell is a likely culprit where the "chassis rail" meets the outrigger underneath. Lift the carpet in the passenger footwell and you'll probably see the corrosion.

Quite a common place on the 7/9xx for some reason.

Thank you again. I have poured water down sunroof drains and they aren't blocked. Also, sealed front windscreen as bottom had some openings. I'll see if this helps first and then check if some welding needs doing.

If not then only other thing I can think of is window rubbers? Are these difficult to source or are there universal rubber trims that can fit?

Not being funny but the chassis rail is the most likely, window rubbers extremely unlikely and there would be traces of water on the door cards etc. If the chassis does need welding, it would be cheaper and more convenient to get it done now rather than later if it spreads and the weather turns really horrible. Also your carpet is probably recoverable now, it may not be if it remains soggy for some time.

Will take a look. Have a decent welder so that's fine.

Tip for lifting up carpet. Need to remove lots of trim or just pull it up from front?

Fairly simple really, passenger seat back as far as possible, kick-panel trim (2 or 3 screws), under glovebox trim (optional - turn button trim buttons if memory serves) and door seal rubber from sill to floorpan seam.

Lift and "roll" the carpet away from the front left corner of the footwell towards the centre console. SHould give you enough access to assess the area. You can see most of the fixings etc for the trim in the pictures of mine fiurther up.

Not in your area sadly. It should be relatively straightforward for anyone competent at welding though.
