Default 2.0 850 auto LPG conversion...

Hi all,

I've got a salvaged multi point LPG kit from a 2.5 V6 freelander. Could it be used on my 5 cylinder Volvo 850 or do I need a dedicated 5 cylinder system?

Presuming it is a sequential rather than distributor system it can be used on a 5 cylinder.

I'm not sure, I assumed it was sequential. It has individual gas injectors for each cylinder, 2 banks of 3. It's a Prinz system.

If is Prins then re calibrating is a bit of a issue as it is dealer locked software.

Prinz is a cheapo system playing on the name. It not a copy or even anything like.

Both will be sequential

Yes, sorry, I think its a Prins system! So to get it tuned I'd need to take it a dealer?

It can be done DIY but I would not risk it.

There are some fake software for Prins on teh market and it can corrupt the ECU causing it to fail. The software that does work only allows minimal change
