S80: General VIDA Help!

Hi, Have just bought a VIDA system off Flea-Bay and I want to use a dedicated lap-top for it! I only want something cheap does anyone know what spec I need to run the VIDA?

A laptop modern enough to run Win7. Don't try to run it under anything later than Win7. If you buy a laptop running anything later, you will have to run an emulation of Win7 under something like Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager but since I wouldn't recommend using the laptop for much other than dedicated use for VIDA, it's probably not worth buying anything too modern. I bought a ThinkPad originally optimised for Win7 but with the hard drive replaced with a solid state drive to speed it up. The ThinkPad is built like a brick outhouse and is ideally suited to a workshop diagnostic machine.

I have good used Dell E6410 laptops as seen in the photo below and featured in my video here.
Turn them on, plug in the Dice you've bought and you are reading your car within a few minutes.

All laptops have 14" screens and are running genuine and activated Windows 10 Pro with Vida already installed and running fast and natively, not in a VM.

All have 4GB RAM and come fitted with a fast 120GB SSD too so they are all as fast as the quicker laptop on the right in the video.
1 x laptop £150 delivered.

Jerryt, You should snap up quick and buy this laptop, least you would know if your fbay dice is going to work or not.

Coming away slightly for the above post but having already got a Vida/Dice from you a couple of years ago running on win7 can I upgrade to Win10 now? I guess you've been testing...

And a request for more information so that I can understand the VIDA situation. Is the ability to run VIDA under Win10 now due to a change in the issue of VIDA or to a change in the way in which Win10 handles it. Previously the generally accepted guideline was not to try to run VIDA natively under anything other than Win7.

I have bought a laptop especially for VIDA, installed windows 7 professional 64bit don´t know how many times tried to install VIDA but almost the same issue.

IE 8

I can´t login. the field where I have to type in the login is grey and thats it. It´s almost the same every time
