Just tried to email but your email address bounced.
Basically send me address to johnlangrick@aol.com and will post. You will see cost on the mail 'stamp' and trust that you will sort later. Cheers |

I have sent you a PM John sorry I got my own email address wrong it is markbevan4@talktalk.net
The gearbox on my car is on a wing and a prayer so Im reluctant to buy a new module. Plus I go for a job interview tomorrow which will have a company car so if Im successful the Xc90 will not be used and probably up for sale as spares or repairs itself. Just to follow up. He did send me a photo and, to be fair, it doesn't look too bad and might be salvagable.
I've advised to remove the battery connector as it covers a lot of tracks, then see what has happened. I also advised to clean the board with white vinegar to kill off the battery juice so that it can't keep eating the tracks even when the new battery is fitted (this is what happened to me). I've attached the photo he sent to me. As I say, it isn't too bad, but I'd be concerned about the area around C8 and C1 (under the black gunk).
