Parking your car on a slope may make it fill with water, the drain holes are designed to work best on the level....

However a new rubber seal will always help if the old one has deteriorated.

Gummi Pflege is basically silicon. It helps keep rubber soft and pliant. It is excellent to help prevent doors freezing closed in Winter.
Yes, but is it easy to change or is it into a workshop job. Looking at it , it looks quite complicated, it seems to be connected to part of the interior too. Would it be easier to have the glass adjusted. The gap is only the width of a piece of paper but when water runs down the glass it runs straight into the door.

I had a Peugeot once where the door seals were whistling at speed (found out later the car had been jigged after a large accident) some door seals are hollow inside and I managed to feed in some smaller rubber tubing inside the hollow void to 'pack out' the seal and it worked! you'd never know it was in there.

Gummi Pflege is used in the late Autumn/Winter to stop the door metal sticking to the frame rubber in ice/snow. A water repellent.

It will not reshape or reform a seal it is preventative maintenance rather than some miracle cure.

Any silicon will do. When I owned a Honda S2000 owners swore by some snake oil called Shin Etsu to lubricate the seals because it was recommended by Honda.
I used some generic silicon from ebay at a fraction of the price and guess what...it worked just as well.

Gumi pledge won't repair anything, it just helps to keep the rubber subtle for as long as possible.

A tip I got off this forum years ago is to just use roof and gutter sealant to fix perishing rubber.
