Ingleton to Oxford last night. Left at 6pm got back at 4am - predominantly M6,M42,M40, 60MPH on cruise with brimmed tank -72.5 average MPG.
Returned at 70MPH and dropped to 66.4 MPH. Yes I could refill and calculate exactly but it's ten years old and now 109000 miles non dpf and usually pretty acurate. Owned since new.
Not bad ehh. That is all.

Hey,

Here are my fuel consumption figures (unfortunateley not in mpg but still data). First refueling was registered in 19th of January 2018, so almost 1.5 years of refueling (almost 60 000km).

My V50 used to give me 56mpg and that was keeping it at 65mph. I used to ignore the trip meter and calculate tank to tank. Pretty impressive by the way.

Aup Thong,

I do 4 miles to work and return six days a week with the odd 20 mile drive to Lancaster and return.
In winter I'm down to 40 - 45 tops, increased by a good 10 per gallon in summer.

That sounds about right to me, the PSA unit is solid enough and like most PSA units they’re good on fuel. My V50 was one of the best performing diesels I’ve ever owned and sadly due to rot in the rear chassis I decided to trade it in.
Sounds like you’ve got a good motor there, hope it serves you long and well

I have the same car, Kent to Oxford last week, predominantly motorway with cruise set where possible & a bit of stop start (as is the usual) on the M25 with a bit of city driving at both ends: 41 mpg. About the same as my previously-owned older Merc E320CDI (with 3.2 litre straight-six turbodiesel, auto gearbox, slightly more power & about the same weight) ...still not bad though
