It's as if the 240s are seeking each other out, like Herbie in the film "The Love Bug"..

Very tidy silver 244 Glt on a H plate heading over Epsom Downs on Tuesday evening (i think) i was in my grey 244 heading towards the Grandstand, looked a very nice example, if you are on here say hi, nice to have local 200 owners.

Battling with the gales and torrents as I was driving through Par yesterday I only just noticed the white 240 Estate coming towards me. I cant't give any details, it happened so quickly, but there was the obligatory flash of headlights. I've not seen a white one locally before, and as far as one could tell it looked cared-for.

Another one in Cornwall, this time on the Wadebridge bypass. It was an estate, quite a deep red (maroon even) as far as I could tell - I was negotiasting a roundabout at the time. I think it could have been a fairly early one because it seemed to have quite a lot of chrome on it.

First for a while
There was a tidy silver J-plate 240SE yesterday evening in Warrington Sainsbury's car-park. I haven't seen it around before.
I think it was an auto, judging by the noise it made when the owner pulled away in it, either that or the viscous fan was knackered.

Like buses?
After a quiet couple of weeks on the 240-spotting front, yesterday brought 2 examples out of hiding.
First off was a very late 240 estate, a dark blue J-plate one in Northwich at about 9 o'clock. I don't recall seeing it before, but it's probably local. Then, yesterday lunch-time we were in Chesterfield, where a G-plate 240 saloon in pale blue metallic, with a set of bumper-mounted driving lamps, was in the car-park opposite the Co-op supermarket.

Red (well pink from fading!) 240 estate on the back of a lorry just now going through Colehill, Dorset. It was stripped (for racing I presume) and had no glass or rear lights but looked otherwise complete from the brief passing glance I got. Hiab going through where the screen used to be.
It had the stripes down the side so presuming a Torslanda? Also, every morning I see "Pumpkin" driving a 240 saloon in blue along the Wimborne bypass coming out of Poole, Dorset. Exchanged waves the other day when I was in my 145, but got a baffled look when I waved from my Marina yesterday so didn't bother this morning!

Saw an early white 245 estate in the Octagon Shopping car park at Burton On Trent today.
I saw another in a shop window but it was mine! James |

Another 244GLT in Warrington that I haven't seen before, this one being a white, F-plate example.

Saw another G-reg 240 in Newcastle this morning, near Blue House roundabout. Saloon, lady driver, blue I think. Didn't wave as I was on my bike.
