I usually have it in Performance mode, so single dial, rev counter and digital speedo. No messages or warning that should hinder the operation as far as I'm aware.

Sounds like mine is having a trip back to the dealer then.

Maybe try turning the option off and back on again? I had an issue with my mirrors not folding on lock despite the option being ticked. Turning it off and back on sorted it
Now mine is definitely going back

Already tried this, didn't work, and I updated the maps the other day as well to see if it would sort it, alas not.

Also, does your navigation begin giving guidance if you're on the route selection page but then press exit? Because mine does, and it's infuriating.

Why does it do that? Is it a fault? Exit means stop, go back, but this decides to begin using route 1!

One more question, what does the 'simple voice navigation' option actually do? How does it differ from the normal readout?

Mine does that and it is irritating!

Good news! It's working

Tried unticking/ticking the turn-by-turn option again just to see but it didn't work. Tried unticking all options then back on, same thing. Unticked everything again, locked the car, unlocked, all settings ticked back on and viola, we have turn-by-turn navigation in the cluster in any theme.

Why on earth it required this I have no idea, I'm just glad it's now working!

Does your guidance also carry on after the engine/ignition has been switched off and the car locked, so the next time you get in the car the guidance carries on?

In theory I can understand the logic if you've not reached your setpoint, but I expected there to be an option to set the behaviour or need to at least select resume guidance.

Yes mine does.

I think the logic is you may stop on a journey & want the navigation to be retained when you resume the trip.

Not actually noticed if it automatically cancels when you arrive at the destination & switch-off & lock. Actually I assume it does as don't ever cancel it when I use it for traffic information on route when I travel home.

Mine definitely cancels when I reach the destination.

I've still not figured out how simple voice navigation differs from standard, doesn't seem to have made a difference to the frequency, speed or information given to me.

I tried the simple some time ago and all it appeared to do was state the turn instruction once whereas standard repeated it as I got closer to the turn

I'll try that on the next run and see if you're correct.
