Thanks for the reply.
I am still a bit peeved with this as it looks awful but i have noticed that se lux seats are a bit different to others so there would be a big gap once changed.
You would think they would have thought of this.

I agree, frustrating isn’t it? It’s as if they are using a “one size fits all” strategy. It must be costing them millions.

When i got home i noticed that they had not replaced the rubber sleeve on the bottom of the seatbelt seat area.
After a phone call volvo Glasgow said that this is part of the recall and they did not replace them.
It leaves a big gap in this area now.

Is this the way yours was done as it seems a bit odd?

Dougsy, did you pursue this any further ? It sounds like you had less parts installed than Deck1ing, as My V60 is due to get it done in Glasgow.(I haven't actually booked it in yet). Did it also only require 1 visit, as others here seem to be saying two ?

Phoned my dealer yesterday to book in for this, was told parts not yet available & that they would be writing to all affected owners when they are in a position to go ahead !

I still don't understand why mine is NOT included in the recall?

Hi Zebster

Like you I don't believe for a second that yours is not included. Volvo are recalling 2.2million vehicles 2007-2018, and almost 170,000 UK vehicles including V60 models 2011-2018. Mine is the same year as yours, and I got the letter ok.

My suggestion is that you call Volvo UK HQ 01628 422522 and ask. I did not get the recent letter about the coolant pipework but knew about it (thank you this forum), and the facility on the Volvo website where you put in the VIN number to check was broken.

The call was simple...answered by a human, so no long message to listen to, and she was brilliant and obviously competent. She knew all about the various recalls, asked for the VIN number, confirmed mine was down to be fixed, and the call was all over in 90 seconds.

Following the seatbelt work which took about ten minutes, 3 days later my airbag waring light came on!! do you know if the work they did could have caused this?

Have a look at this. When the recall work affects only the fixed end of the seatbelt I can't see why the dealer would have touched the reel end where the tensioner is.....but...

In theory, all the garage had to do was undo a couple of nuts at most I would have thought, There is a wire attached to the inner anchor point.
All that was changed on mine was the outer anchor point.
No need to touch the tensioner in the door post. But as we seem to be getting variations to solve the same problem, anything seems possible.
