TBH, I've discounted any cosmetic work on the grey skirts for now, simply because I've noticed that they always pick up marks, especially from indiscriminate folk in public carparks etc.. If I colour coded them, the marks would be only the more obvious.

true, thats why i left my door and bumper strips black, but i have to say the paint on the skirts holds up pretty good, no less than the rest of the car. my whole car needs a lot of attention at the body shop to be honest. each to thier own i suppose

Very impressive.
The only thing that worries me is the cost. How deep must ones pockets be to modify to that extent? Very? |

Nope! All depends on how much work you can do yourself and what extent you intend to go to with the real precision stuff; I've avoided the latter and just used basic components which are up to the job. If you're patient, you will find some bargains or alternatively, source them from overseas.

i figure it depends which way you look at it..... i had a good look under the bonnet & when you start adding bits up its fairly obvious its going to amount to quite alot of money!!! however.... its still going to be less than going out & buying an M3 or RS4..... i know which route i would rather take!!

I've seen this beast of a car in action here at RAF Marham on our track and I can confirm that it isn't shy and it keeps up with the best of em. This V40 flys the flag for all Volvos on our track and I enjoy telling people what it is when I'm asked.
