I have my XC70 at last!!!
Following on from this last year http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=219604
The time has come tomorrow to collect my new motor Arghhhhh won't be getting any sleep tonight! My quickly disintegrating S40 has finally gone and it's time to replace it with this lovely 2008 57 plate XC70 D5 AWD SE Geartronic!!! I'm so excited it's not true, it's perfect for the family and great for my back and my pocket! They say good things come to those who wait and I'm glad I did cos I managed to pick up this little puppy for £5700!!!! Here's some pics from the sale ad which will be taken down tomorrow when I collect it! Can't wait to collect, lots of pics tomorrow! It drives like new despite having 143,000 miles on the clock, it's only an SE but do I care? Do I hell! Now I'm coming to bother you guys over here haha

Congratulations but
Please don't make the mistake I made check when the belts and tensioners were changed or are due to be! also the thing that wrecked my engine the A/C Compressor pulley is not failing!
Sure you'll be fine but a little checking out now may keep your lovely car out of expensive trouble in thhe near future. Good Luck P, Last edited by Peter V70 D5; Aug 11th, 2015 at 11:06. Reason: Forgot the C |

Thanks for the heads up, it had the belts and water pump done at 134000 and it now has 143000. I'm leaving in 20 mins to pick it up and I haven't slept a wink lol, that's the little ones fault though I swear

Just on our way home getting some food, love the car!!!! Can't find the iPod lead though? It's the Volvo Bluetooth with the thingy on the dash. So confusing, I rung the previous owners Mum by accident haha. Laura says it's very posh. More pics later

ONLY an SE? It must have plenty toys. Very nice motor indeed. One thing I've noticed about Volvos is that they seem to wear their mileage extremely well, don't you think?

It does for an SE, Bluetooth, power drivers seat with memory and my key, power folding mirrors, built in dog guard, full extended leather etc.
I think this one is tidier than the S40 I've just sold, it's not got a mark on it and it feels very together and tidy. It's a joy to drive and so effortless on the way home

And here is the beast at home
Lucky loves his new transport haha and it has the built in Dog guard Ideal And I am very happy with this! Wasn't really cruising with economy in mind but not exceeding any speed limits. Love the way it drives, the commanding view of the road and the slightly, but not too raised seating position. The interior quality is a huge wow factor over the outgoing S40, the seats are something else! It needs a damn good clean now as its filthy and a lot of small stonechips filling in. All in good time though I'm really loving this one, just gotta fathom this Bluetooth kit, anyone else got one? If so where is your USB lead? Or do they all say iPod and USB when you press mode on the radio? The aux is in the centre console but no USB to be found? Totally confused.com haha

I'm pretty sure there is no USB input for the audio system just the 3.5mm jack aux input which you have found in the centre storage. To play from your Ipod or any MP3 player you need to connect between the headphone socket of the Mp3 player and the aux input and control the music from the MP3 player itself.
Bluetooth is just for phone calls (doesn't stream music). Once connected the phone connection is quite good (clear and no reverb) and should reconnect automatically when you turn on the ignition. I think Lucky has claimed all of the car aft of the rear seats.

Glad you found something after all that Sean, it looks in remarkably good nick for its age. Impressed with the mpg too!
I hope it's absolutely sublime I collect mine on Friday morning. Also quite excited.
