Default 240 torslanda red 1993 99k for sale in Derby

I am buying a new car but I am not happy to give the Volvo for scrappage.
I bought in November 2007 at 78k, I have used it every day and now it has 99k.
MOT 7/4/2010, road tax 30/3/2010. To pass the MOT needs two new tyres and the brake pads (I have got the spare pads). Everything is working, interior and bodywork in very good conditions. I hope someone will be interested, I don`t know how much can be the right quotation but, if I receive an interesting offer in the next few days, I will be happy to sell the car that I don`t think deserve to be scrapped as it looks nearly new. I live in Derby, I am the fourth owner, even though when I bought it from a work colleague I was told that there was only one previous lady owner.

thank you James, here there are two pics taken today
Regarding the price, £ 800 seems reasonable? It is how much I spent to buy it. If it seems too expensive, I would be grateful if someone could tell me what can be a fair price, so I can decide what to do

RF82, tomorrow morning (and Monday morning) I will be in Chesterfield so, if interested, let me know and I`ll show you the car

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunatly, I fear we are too far apart on price.

Good luck with the sale anyway.

I don't think you're a million miles away on a fair price... I've seen them go for much more than that on ebay, and it's pretty low mileage with the decent engine management system. Good luck with the sale.

^^^ I'm with Steve, seems like a fair price to me if it's in good nick.

With 12 months MOT on it, and a full service record, i`d agree. I know it only needs a couple of tyres, and brake pads, but you never know what other items a different MOT station will find with a car. Buying a car with such a short MOT is always a risk, and this is reflected in the price. Only cars with a long MOT and good service records sell for this kind of money on eBay.

When it comes down to it though, a car is only worth what the buyer will pay for it...............and most people have vastly varying opinions on what cars are worth.

Good luck with the sale still.
