Default AWD Disabled - Service Required.

Hi All,

2014 XC90 with a smidge over 66K.

Got a AWD Disabled - Service Required message up on the dash late last week.

Problem; i've 6 days left on a 6 month warranty!

Read with VIDA and have got the following code:
DEM-P188914 - Oil Pressure Pump Performance - General Electrical Failure - Circuit short to ground or open.

I've cleared and it hasn't come back, but i'm concerned if it does come back it'll be in 7 days time... 1 day out of warranty!

Things i've noted, and the screen grabs are attached, the wheel velocities are different across all corners, but that's about it. 4 new Goodyear Wranglers with less that 1k on all corners.
Torque is low considering I was pulling out a junction - perhaps triggered during shift up?

What should I be doing? I can't seem to find, but is there a way to manually trigger the pump operation in VIDA?
Should I be looking at a pump and fluid change as a matter of course?
Would rather fix a dodgy pump now for £500 then end up with an out of warranty DME cost!

Thoughts appreciated..

Thanks!

Register the problem with the dealer now, before the warranty expires. Then you have your problem logged in time.

Arrange a date to see the dealer for the warranty inspection.

Advise them when you are there that the fault was intermittent, but you are concerned it is the initial indication of the problem.

MAYBE the fault will return again, or better still, be present when at the dealer

Had a similar issue that started off as an intermittent ' AWD Disabled - Service Required' message, In 2 weeks, it was there permanently despite trying all the usual tricks of disconnecting battery etc etc.
Local dealer quickly diagnosed DEM pump had failed. On inspection, the pump filters were clear as was transmission fluid so an internal failure was confirmed.
New pump fitted and all good now, despite the £520 bill. At least I will have 4WD traction if it's needed, so happy to invest in my own and passengers' safety.
