For Sale: 2008 V50 D5 R-Design

Our family D5 will be up for sale at Easter this year (possibly earlier by arrangement). It's been a great vehicle for us, but we've relocated (outside the UK) and the car just doesn't get driven sufficiently to justify keeping it, sadly.

V50 D5 SE Sport R-Design, manual box, ice white with white/black T-Tec seats and aluminium interior, 18"s, bluetooth phone prep, etc.



2 owners from new (us, and the last one). We've owned it since Oct 2013 and 100k. Total current mileage is 116k, and it has worn very well.

Service history:

• 2009 model, delivered to first owner in November 2008
• 18k Service in July 2009
• 36k Service in April 2010
• 54k Service in April 2011
• 72k Service in December 2011
• 90k Service in February 2013
• 108k Service in February 2014
• Interim Service in February 2015 (Oil and filter, air filter, pollen/cabin filter)
• Interim Service in February 2016 (Oil and filter, and air filter) - also MOT
  (126k service not yet due based on distance)

Cambelt change in Feb 2015 at 112k, front brakes and pads in Feb 2013 at 88k, front tyres in Aug 2013 at 100k.

Economy is good - we have logged a real-world 46mpg (combined town and motorway runs) since buying the car.

Bad points:

• Small trolley ding to the rear quarter. I had it quoted for a £200 repair, but haven't had this done - I have discounted the price instead and the new owner can decide what they want to do.
• Both front tyres leak air faster than I'd like. I just top them up weekly by a few PSI. Trouble is that they're relatively new and wearing well so I can't justify throwing them away yet!

Priced at £5,550.

hi just to say your car looks very nice , but i think your asking price is a touch to high . i just sold my 61 plate v50 s/s edition estate manual, stop/start full s/h registered 2012,98000 miles 1 owner mint condition sold for £5200.00 sadly there is too many of those flooding the market, but i wish you the best of luck

Thanks for the feedback. You may well be right - though the R-Design D5 is a sought-after model. Open to negotiation so let's see what the market brings!

your right the model is sort after, i thought i would of got a better price for mine , but i found there was alot of simular cars on the market than mine but sold it to a guy from south wales who was welled chuffed , hence ive gone off volvos and have bought a 3year old c-max ford 7 seater which i bought at auction in leeds much cheaper than buying private , i will put the word out to matesdown hear to see if there is any interest

I'm going to put it up on AutoTrader next week. Meanwhile, because I do want to get it sold, I'll drop the price to £5,150. Hopefully at that money it will go to a good Volvo home!

Just serviced and MOTed, recent cambelt, etc - should be a good runner for someone.
