Default 164/140 parts in Swindon

This came up on ebay in Swindon. '72 auto 164 (looks more like a '70 to me with early door handles) that's going out in a blaze of glory, sadly. Awful thing to happen although the body shell looks scrap anyway (rust holes under screen and caved in roof). The owner has, however, offered the parts for sale if they are substituted for others. I presume this means that you can buy a bonnet, doors etc if you supply rusty or dented ones to replace them. He needs to keep the running gear though.
I hate to see this happen to cars but at least the racer appreciates that the parts would be useful to someone.
I'm too far away to get involved as otherwise I could supply a load of scrap doors etc.
The front wings look good.

Thanks for that, Mark, but I was too late (already!) for the interior as he's just mailed to say sold already.

I've just come back from getting some bits from it. One step closer to getting mine finished!

Hi Triple S,

I can't reply to your PM as I have less than 30 posts. But if you PM me your email I can send over some pictures. Cheers
