Smile 03 s60 d5, clicking noise?

Hi guys my s60 as developed a clicking noise from the front wheels, doesn't do it when free wheeling, only when setting off or changing gear, any advice ? Thanks

Almost DEFINITELY the axle bolts causing what is classed as pinging.

Prise off the front centre plastic wheel cap and you will see a bolt. Make sure that it is tight but DO NOT overtighten it.

This is a very well documented issue ( no safety issue though) and the permanent fix is to remove those 2 bolts and replace them with the same bolts from a Volvo XC90.

Do a search and you will find loads but you can do this yourself in under 10 mins but remember to Torque the new XC90 bolts up correctly.

^^^ As Above ^^^. Another possible cause is brake pads rattling (or snagging) in the caliper. If you've recently had your brakes done, I would check it out.
