A fluid meeting the JWS 3309 spec is what you need.
Volvo fluid is quite dear and many avoid it. Many others will use only that. Finding real Mobil 3309 is a rarity in shops over here in No, America, don't know about the UK. Toyota T-IV is what most people use going by what they post on Volvo boards. It's readily available. Valvoline brand MaxLife Dex/Merc LV (the LV is what makes it not old fashioned Dex/Merc) is one I've used gallons of. In the UK you may have access to PertoCanada synthetic Universal fluid. There's a company from Germany which sells a 20l keg at a good price in Europe. Many use that. Are you doing this work yourself? Don't let some careless monkeys lie to you and use whatever. Some fluids can damage your transmission. Last edited by Georgeandkira; May 17th, 2022 at 12:14. |
