Default Pilot Assist bike rack

Hi there, just wanted to share my disappointment that the pilot assist doesn't work when you have a bike rack. I guess you cannot have any workaround... I understand with proper trailer but just bike rack there could be something that the pilot assist actually works.

As long as there is a trailer electric socket connected, pilot assist and BLISS are disabled, it does not know if it is a caravan or a bike rack.

I believe the module operates if it detects any draw on the indicator or brake lights through the trailer socket. Can't disable it without also disabling those lamps, at which point you might as well not bother plugging them in at all

Try LED lamps in that case.

Same for us, our cycle carrier with LEDs is treated the same. Its one of those things, a bit like disabling the sensor for the gesture control of the boot, seems a very simple software fix that could improve things a lot, at very little expense to Volvo.

The other thing to note if you use ECO is that coasting is disabled when towing/bike rack attached and the 4wd (if you have it) seems to be permanently engaged, ie no characteristic re-engage at 55-65mph.
