Default XC90 Severe Vibrations when steering to the right

I have a severe vibration which is initially felt through the steering wheel when accelerating, becoming quite audible as speed picks up. It becomes a lot worse when steering to the right, but almost disappears when steering to the left. I initially thought that is was a power steering pump issue, and I replaced this yesterday which made no difference. I had also replaced a leaking power steering pressure pipe/hose a week ago (following the advice from an excellent post in this forum), which had lead me to believe that the pump had been damaged. The vibration is not evident at idle. A search of the forum hasn’t found anything matching the particular symptoms. Help, can anyone offer any ideas what the problem is, and what component(s) require replacement? Volvo XC90 2.4 D5 AWD – year 2011.

Check the left front tyre for distortion/eggs/damage.

Yes - check the tyres first; swap the fronts with the rear and see if the noise moves to the back. If not, then could be a bearing - if noise increases when steering to the right suggests left hand front wheel bearing as weight of car shifts onto LHS when cornering to the right. Normally a warn bearing creates a hum rather than a vibration but I guess is possible.
Have you been driving in flooded water - if so quite likely water has got into the bearing causing problems.

Symptoms sound like your rotors may be warped. When was the last time your front brakes were serviced? Did you recently brake hard potentially causing the brakes to warp?
