Default Some little sh@# damaged my car and drove off

Just posting for no other reason than I'm hacked off right now.

Wife's just returned from shopping.

Car was parked in supermarket car park.

She came out to find dent in bottom of DSF door ... and dent to the sill below it.

Deep enough to crease the bottom of the door and the sill, that's not a slight parking nudge!

There's NO WAY on earth someone could do that damage and not feel, or hear something.

And, naturally, they simply slipped away without leaving a note or suchlike.

It's not just the damage but anyone else looking at the car will automatically think it's my fault.

I'll take a pic sometime later and add it to the post.

{annoyed just doesn't come close}

Feel your pain
Had the same last summer in dobbies car park, white Kia Soul parked next to me reversed out and took out both doors on drivers side
Both doors dented and coach lines down length of doors
Never stopped as caught on cctv alas no clear registration in footage
At least Volvo insurance were easy to work with tho £120 excess lighter and premium up this year
The joys of motoring

Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately we live in a world where quite a few people are simply selfish little sh!theads.

What colour is your door? If you can find one in the same colour, it wont be an expensive repair. I have a 353 maroon one and a 347 titanium grey atm. And I can ask a few people at the S40 V40 Classic group on Facebook

"Don't worry mate, it'll pull out ... just needs a dab of filler!"

Er, no.

See pics.

gatos, I'm going to wait until after the MOT at the end of May before deciding upon what, if anything, I do re the door. As you can see they also caused a nasty dent in the footwell too.

Oh yes!

As I said, there's no way that someone could have not noticed what they heard or felt when it happened.

Perhaps, however, from what my wife described she didn't think there was any cameras that showed that area.

Might be worth double-checking, however ... especially as they aren't going to be that busy for a while ... thx

Thats odd damage from a vehicle hitting it.

I turned my car into an old post sticking out of the ground that I hadnt seen at night and that reminds me of the damage that caused.

Yup, very odd. It looks like someone really cocked-up, either reversing into the space on that side.

The deep damage was low, enough to have pushed the door into the sill.

Perhaps they had a tow bar on the car?
