Default Mudflaps

Hi picking up my 2011 XC90 today and would like to get front and rear mudflaps, preferably genuine ones without getting ripped off.
Has anyone brought some recently at a good price?

Thanks.

Have you checked with your Volvo dealer before making your assumption? genuine Volvo parts are not always as expensive as you think, also check the forums discount with FRF Volvo in Swansea.

Hope it helps

These look as if they actually have "Volvo" moulded in.

Mind you, that might just be the picture - the actual item might be different.

The cheap price is probably the giveaway.

Cheers

I bought these from the below supplier . I've had them in my hand next to the genuine items and there is no discernible difference.

They even have Volvo stamped into them on the inside with the part number

Not genuine but seriously good value for money and in no way cheap crap.

Good to know just looked at them on eBay and they look good for the price! Just had a quick look on my car in the dark and it looks like you have to drill out the rivets to fit them I assume with screws is this the case?
Just wanting to make sure a basic diyer like myself will be able to fit them...

I bought some eBay ones with Volvo moulded in them for £20 ish last year fitted easily use a hair dryer to gently warm them to get a good fit.

These were for an xc60 but fitted great and would be suprised if the genuine ones were different...

Right!

I'm on it as soon as we are allowed to get home from Spain.

It's not all Sun, Sand and Sangria you know...

Cheers

In my experience mud flaps trap mud and moisture behind the clips causing local corrosion. I would invest in a pressure washer and get into the habit of giving the old girl a good clean every so often making sure you attend to all her nooks and crannies! I have the r-design which my wife enjoys driving through water and mud and then leaves me to clean it - this summer I am planning to remove the side skirts to check all good underneath but hopefully being a Volvo I will find no corrosion.

The genuine Volvo mudflaps include new black rivets. If you are doing it yourself use a new drill bit and dont attempt to drill the old ones out at full speed, you will likely damage the mountings behind the splashguard/liner.

Hope it helps.
